A fine exclusive edition of one of literature’s most beloved stories。 Featuring a laser-cut jacket on a textured book with foil stamping, all titles in this series will be first editions。 No more than 10,000 copies will be printed, and each will be individually numbered from 1 to 10,000。 * Now with bonus bookmark

Anne reveled in the world of color about her。

“Oh, Marilla,” she exclaimed one Saturday morning, coming dancing in with her arms full of gorgeous boughs, “I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers。 It would be terrible if we just skipped from September to November, wouldn’t it? Look at these maple branches。 Don’t they give you a thrill—several thrills? I’m going to decorate my room with them。”

When 11-year-old orphan Anne Shirley is mistakenly sent to live with Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert on their farm, she finds herself in a real home for the first time in her life。 But fiery, spirited Anne certainly isn’t the sturdy boy they had planned to adopt。 Despite her mischief and affinity for finding trouble, the longer Anne stays at Green Gables, the harder it is for the Cuthberts to imagine life without her。

Anne of Green Gables by L。M。 Montgomery (Seasons Edition - Fall) is one of four titles available in August 2021。 The Fall season set also will include Sense and Sensibility, Dracula, and The Shakespeare Collection。

Genuinely delightful。 I actually can't remember the last time I read a book that made me both laugh and cry。 Often I read classics because I want to see for myself what it was that made them stand the test of time, but rarely do I find it this obvious。 Rachel McAdams does a great narration for the audiobook, as well。 Genuinely delightful。 I actually can't remember the last time I read a book that made me both laugh and cry。 Often I read classics because I want to see for myself what it was that made them stand the test of time, but rarely do I find it this obvious。 Rachel McAdams does a great narration for the audiobook, as well。 。。。more

This series isn't for everyone but I just love the story because I read it as a child and I so connected with Anne。 I also understood feeling plain, and having so much h to say that I talked adults ears off and her longing for the love of a family and her crazy over active imagination and how she treasured the love she got from sweet Mathew。 I cried buckets when。。。。well I'll stop here so I don't add spoilers。 🤧 This series isn't for everyone but I just love the story because I read it as a child and I so connected with Anne。 I also understood feeling plain, and having so much h to say that I talked adults ears off and her longing for the love of a family and her crazy over active imagination and how she treasured the love she got from sweet Mathew。 I cried buckets when。。。。well I'll stop here so I don't add spoilers。 🤧 。。。more

this book is beautiful。 it would be 5 stars but i had to take 1 star off because it kept reiterating how horrible red hair is, and as a red head myself, i disagree。

Surprising I liked this book。 Normally I am not a fan of the classics。 And for a book with essentially no plot, it is pretty entertaining。 There are a fee problematic elements, but they are to be expected given the time it was written。 The writing is well done。 I enjoyed looking up dozens of words。

It was a very interesting story of a girl……。

I have read this but it's not really this book/version because the book that I have read has a different cover in it。 It was when I was younger, as a child。It's a good story, though I cant really fully remember the plot。 But I'll be watching the movies series of Netflix soon。Anne is a very fun, cheerful and outgoing girl who is grateful for everything that comes her way。 I have read this but it's not really this book/version because the book that I have read has a different cover in it。 It was when I was younger, as a child。It's a good story, though I cant really fully remember the plot。 But I'll be watching the movies series of Netflix soon。Anne is a very fun, cheerful and outgoing girl who is grateful for everything that comes her way。 。。。more

。。more

Anne's imagination somehow slithered through the pages of the book to my precious heart, by a matter of words。 After deliciously digesting this platinum-worthy novel of tales ensued by a young girl with dreams and a loud mind, I am inspired to appreciate and blossom my imagination a little more。 This book is stored in the highest shelf of my heart for eternity。 P。S。A perfect read for those who love to read。 Anne's imagination somehow slithered through the pages of the book to my precious heart, by a matter of words。 After deliciously digesting this platinum-worthy novel of tales ensued by a young girl with dreams and a loud mind, I am inspired to appreciate and blossom my imagination a little more。 This book is stored in the highest shelf of my heart for eternity。 P。S。A perfect read for those who love to read。 。。。more

I enjoyed this book with its vivid imagination and world building。 Anne is either someone you will love or hate, but her thrive for life and finding beauty everywhere is infectious。 However, I do feel that the ending was rushed and I sometimes found Anne to be very whinny。

Very captivating book。 Should check the rest of the books in the series。

This story, about an orphan living on the beautiful Prince Edward Island, is “so exquisitely romantic” (as Anne would say)。 It’s such a heartwarming story。 Anne’s dramatic speeches are dripping with description that make you giggle and appreciate her imagination and humble and grateful perspective on life。 It’s a perfectly lovely story for girls of any age。

This book was… fineI wasn’t really looking forward to reading this book, but it was not as bad as I thought it would be I guess If I’m being honest, the first half of the book was really hard for me to get through (if I didn’t have to read the book, I would’ve dnfd it :/ )Maybe it’s because I didn’t relate to the characters, maybe it was because of the lack of overlying plot… I really struggled through those first 250 pages 😂Buuuuut I will admit I did enjoy the last bit of the book much more。。 m This book was… fineI wasn’t really looking forward to reading this book, but it was not as bad as I thought it would be I guess If I’m being honest, the first half of the book was really hard for me to get through (if I didn’t have to read the book, I would’ve dnfd it :/ )Maybe it’s because I didn’t relate to the characters, maybe it was because of the lack of overlying plot… I really struggled through those first 250 pages 😂Buuuuut I will admit I did enjoy the last bit of the book much more。。 maybe because it was more relatable? Classics are difficult for me to read because they tend to have run-on sentences and overly describe things that don't need so much detail。 This book is no different。 As much as I love Anne, there's just that kind of language block where everything's a little "too much。" It's hard to describe。 Classics are difficult for me to read because they tend to have run-on sentences and overly describe things that don't need so much detail。 This book is no different。 As much as I love Anne, there's just that kind of language block where everything's a little "too much。" It's hard to describe。 。。。more

I've finished this book months ago and I just found out that I haven't written any review。Well, it takes months for me to finish this book。 But it is worth the process, I guess?

In some ways this is a five star book。 I loved everything about the first part and the last part。 Anne is one of the most charming, imaginative, flawed, yet adorable characters I've seen in fiction。 Montgomery's omniscient narration reminded me very much of Austen, which is part of the reason I instantly fell in love with this book, even though technically speaking it's a middle grade novel。But the coming-of-age vibes are hard to miss, especially toward the end。 I loved Anne's development as a c In some ways this is a five star book。 I loved everything about the first part and the last part。 Anne is one of the most charming, imaginative, flawed, yet adorable characters I've seen in fiction。 Montgomery's omniscient narration reminded me very much of Austen, which is part of the reason I instantly fell in love with this book, even though technically speaking it's a middle grade novel。But the coming-of-age vibes are hard to miss, especially toward the end。 I loved Anne's development as a character: from the overly-imaginative, garrulous, often absentminded girl to the responsible, sensitive, generous human being she's become at the end of the novel。 I liked how the author didn't show us a complete metamorphosis。 Anne is still Anne: She's in love with the world, with other people, and with her life。 Although it's an MG story, there were the occasional hints of romance (completely appropriate for the age group)。 I liked that the focus still stays on Anne's development for the most part。Some of the material toward the end is rather sad, something you mind find in a YA book (it's part of what gives the book its coming-of-age feel), but it allows Anne to grow further in her journey and become more of her mature self。 It's almost as if the author is contrasting the imaginative, idealistic tone of the earlier parts with the grimmer, more accurate portrayal of the real world toward the end。The only reason I'm giving this book 3。5 stars is the repetitive nature of events in the middle, where Anne keeps making (often similar) mistakes that don't add anything to the story。Other than that, this is a lovely tale worth reading: an oddball orphan girl growing up among strangers whom she manages to transform into an adoring family, in the process transforming herself into a young woman who knows her place in the world and can navigate her life like a mature person who can still have fun and be quirky。 。。。more
